Saldanha Bay

Saldanha Bay is SA’s deepest Port situated some 160km north of Cape Town on the Western Coast of Southern Africa. The Port primarily caters for the export of Iron Ore and was opened in the 1970’s.

RSA was at the Port at inception and has been very heavily involved in the export of Iron Ore. The Iron Ore team at RSA’s operations have gathered expertise over the last 35 years and have developed close relationships with the Iron Ore exporters, importers, and ships operators.

Our office regularly sends out news flashes on changes in the Terminal Regulations and any other developments within the Port.

The Port also handles other commodities such as Heavy Minerals, Crude Oil, Steel, Lead and Copper concentrates. RSA has a very close relationships with the exporters and importers of these commodities and has developed expertise in their handling.
